Chloe O'Laughlin was hired as a graphic artist within our editorial department at Harris Publishing where I worked with her closely for many years. Her talents and creativity working in the Boat Group led to her well-deserved promotion to a different department within the company.
When the position for our Idaho Falls Magazine became available, I knew she would be a great
fit. As a valuable asset to our group, I was sad to see her go to a different department, but I knew she would continue to do an amazing job in her new role at Harris Publishing.
As an employee, Chloe was extremely dependable, always going above and beyond in her layouts and she went to great lengths to ensure she never missed her deadlines. I became very dependent on Chloe to not only fulfill her assignments, but to also assist with other projects outside our magazines including assisting at our annual boat tests.
What impressed me the most about Chloe is her creativity and the ability to problem solve with her layouts. She was a student of the different industries we cover as a publishing company and was always wanting to grow her own knowledge. Her dedication showed in her work as she continued to improve and take on news challenges during her time at Harris Publishing.

Chloe was a member of the copy desk and I was the city editor, so we worked together daily for three years putting out the paper. Chloe came to the paper as a graphic designer and artist with little to no experience in journalism, but she quickly learned about her new role and was always willing to ask questions and try to understand her new profession. She brought a positive attitude, a sense of humor and a flair for design that was a huge asset to our paper. I would be happy to recommend Chloe for a variety of positions.

The Idaho Falls Regional Airport held specific requirements while working with Chloe to create a new patch for our new firefighting team. The patch had to follow the City’s style guide, stand out on a shirt, and be easily identifiable. Chloe did a fantastic job creating a new patch that fit all these requirements and going above and beyond in her work. She was easy to work with when reviewing the multiple options she provided, and was greatly receptive to feedback. Working with her was a fantastic experience.

MILLWORKS NOVATO
Chloe was commissioned to design a new logo, signage and marketing materials for Millworks Apartments in Novato, CA. Novato is in Marin County, an affluent county in the beautiful Bay Area, 30 minutes north of San Francisco.
The building was completed in 2012 and was originally built as mortgaged condos with high end materials throughout the luxury living spaces. To this end, the logo and signage had to reflect the industrial chic aesthetic requested by the owners and representing of the structure itself.
As we worked through the first design, I was impressed by the level of professionalism and creativity that began to shape our relationship fostering trust in Chloe's vision for the product.
After many rounds of deliverables which were handled with patient guidance by Chloe, the project was completed and Millworks had its new graphics. These designs will be seen by millions as they drive CA 101 past the De Long exit where Millworks is situated showing in the gallery of high-end marketing that is Marin County and where art is held in high esteem.
Chloe was a pleasure to work with and I look forward to future ventures as well as following what I know will be a legendary portfolio as other works are born of her creation. Chloe is a gift to design and an artist first. To give her creative license is to be lucky indeed to be a part of her artistic legacy.
